Lesson Title:
Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs

Objective:
The student will identify Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and understand how meeting those needs led to the development of civilization.

Florida Next Generation Sunshine State Standards:
SS.6.W.2.2
  Describe how the developments of agriculture and metallurgy related to settlement, population growth, and the emergence of civilization.



SS.6.W.2.3  Identify the characteristics of civilization.

Activities:
  • Discuss what needs must be met for a student to be successful.
  • Think of famous people who may have reached self-actualization
  • The student will be able to express himself or herself in complete sentences.  The sentence must have a subject and a predicate and pronouns may not be used on first reference.
  • Complete Mesopotamia assignment on Abraham Maslow
